Youth Cricket with the Goring CC Academy
The GCC Academy continues to thrive with over 150 girls and boys playing across the different age groups, from All Stars to Under 17s. The focus is on fun, inclusivity, training/technique and match play to ultimately support progression into the senior game.
We are part of the successful ECB initiative “All Stars Cricket” which is aimed at 5 to 8 year olds with the emphasis on fun and being active. Training for this is provided by club members on Saturday mornings.

Training for School Years 3 & 4 takes place on a Monday evening with soft ball cricket for the Under 9s. Tuesdays are for the Under 13s (Years 7 and 8) and on Friday it’s the turn of the Under 11s (Years 5 & 6). The training is run by the professional coaches form Performance Cricket. Competitive matches are in place for the U9s (various days), U11s (Sunday a.m. – two teams) and U13s (Thursday evening).
Training for Year 9 upwards is on a Thursday evening with the senior squad. This is our “Development Squad” as we provide a gentle introduction into Sunday cricket with the senior club players.
